Research & Outreach

Research and outreach are central to LECIAD’s mandate, combining academic inquiry, policy analysis, and public engagement to shape debate and inform decision-making in international affairs.

The Centre’s work highlights Africa’s perspectives in diplomacy, security, governance, development, and the global political economy. Faculty and fellows produce policy briefs, working papers, journal articles, and thematic studies that contribute to both scholarship and practice.

LECIAD also serves as a bridge between academia and practice through public lectures, policy dialogues, stakeholder roundtables, and conferences that bring together policymakers, practitioners, and the wider public.

Through its publications, advocacy, and collaborations, the Centre amplifies African voices in global discourse while generating the evidence and ideas needed to advance peace, governance, migration, and sustainable development.
